President

  • Enforce Club Structure

Vice President

  • Runs Town Hall Meetings
  • Interacts with SALP
  • Complete Yearly Soar Audit
  • Interacts with Department Head
  • External company contact
  • Inbox manager for WiCS Email (includes forwarding emails to those responsible to respond and following up)
  • Must be an official SALP Leader and meet SALP requirements

This person is good at (or wants to get better at) public speaking, building rapport with others and has great communication skills.

Treasurer / Historian

  • Photograph Events
  • Keeping records
  • Keep track of funds/budget
  • Fundraising
  • Organize Drive Files
  • Interacts with Department Head
  • Must be an official SALP Leader and meet SALP requirements

This person is organized and really good at organizing files, notes and money.

Mentorship Program Director

  • Recruit mentees, mentors & leaders
  • Plan Kick off Event / Mentor Training
  • Plan End of the Year Banquet
  • Manage fundraising
  • Run Mentorship Leadership Meetings
  • Facilitate pairing needs as they come up
  • Delegate tasks and social event planning to mentorship leaders
  • Interacts with Department Head
  • Must be an official SALP Leader and meet SALP requirements

Director of Communications

  • Manage Website
  • Outreach
  • Marketing
  • Upholding the WiCS brand
  • Maintain Newsletter
  • Organize News media

This person is creative and enjoys making WiCS look good.

Social Events Coordinator

This person would be in charge of coordinating and promoting the following social events :

  • WiCSGiving
  • Game Nights
  • Movie Nights
  • Bubble Tea Dates
  • Any other social events

Note: Events NOT covered in this role include: Career Workshop, Hackathon, Town Halls and Mentorship Program Events.

WiCS Officers

Anyone interested in getting involved with WiCS as a leader is welcome to join throughout the year under this title. This role is adaptable to this persons strengths and also provides opportunities to gain skills.

Some tasks that could be assigned to WiCS Officers are as follows:

  • Maintain engagement level in slack channels
  • Work as a support under the leadership roles listed above
  • Work as a support for our large events (ie. take charge of the sign in table, help direct traffic and answer questions, etc)
  • Put up posters for events as well as speak in front of classes to promote WiCS
  • Participate in the brainstorming / planning process for events and programs
  • Plan an ice breaker activity for Town Halls
